Nick was a great kid.  This picture was taken at Coyote Reservoir in Gilroy, CA, a year or so before he lost his battle with bone cancer at the tender age of  19.  He lived on the way from my house to the lake so I usually picked him up and took him along.      He'd fought it for about five years and I never once heard him complain about the injustice of his situation. We were all hoping against hope that he'd beaten it.  When the news finally came that he'd taken a turn for the worse it was hard for us to accept.
