THE CO-WORKER

I'd be hard-pressed to find a better co-worker than my Nelly.  From driving nails to hauling mud, she was with me all the way.  And when our 25th wedding anniversary caught us on the mountain, she settled for a bouquet of wild flowers in a Pringles can.

7/27/87 was our 25th wedding anniversary.  FTD wasn't delivering up there yet but a bouquet of wild flowers in a Pringles can worked just fine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nell partially drove in hundreds of nails to hold the chinking.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First came the insulation

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then the mud.  I know it looks like Nell is doing all the work, but somebody had to take the pictures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once mixed it had to go on fast. That's when it's good to have good friends. A friend in Sprucepine rounded up a dozen or so teen-agers for a mud slapping party.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was starting to look like a house now.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I got to sit and supervise the parking lot work.
